We’re looking for Senior Research Data Scientist who expects more from their career. You will be at the forefront of dunnhumby’s research data science team where you will be translating a complex business problem into a data science problem and solving that with scalable and state-of-the art Machine learning algorithms. Joining our research data science team, you will be helping identify new opportunities within the Data Science space for future dunnhumby solutions. What we expect from you

• Experience of using following algorithm at scale: linear models with regularization, clustering, random forests, decision trees, model ensembling, xgboost and grid search
• Have hands-on experience on more advanced techniques: Deep learning, matrix factorization, support vector machines, Bayesian modelling, natural language processing, word2vec
• Create new ML solutions in test driven development (TDD) environment that can directly be integrated with dh media products.
• Research the latest machine learning approaches and share the knowledge across the team.
• Help identify new opportunities within the Data Science space for future dunnhumby solutions.
• Programming skills (Python, PySpark, SQL, Hadoop)
• Good grasp of Object Oriented Programming
• Know best practices in GitLab: project management in GitLab, continuous integration, documentation of project.
• Logical thinking and problem solving
• Strong communication skills
• Quality Assurance and Testing
• PhD or master’s in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant R&D in data science experience
