Job Description:
Setup and configure Veritas server/client and tape libraries Monitor daily Veritas activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues Modify and optimize backup schedules Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements Troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed Veritas backups Interface with vendors for escalation of issues Processing of tapes for offsite storage Update Veritas policies and procedures

Good skills on performance optimization.

Solving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/Symantec support

Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA

Provide operational support on a 24×7 rotation basis.

Knowledge of HP DP is Added Advantage

Qualification:
Computing or similar subject related degree

Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness

Leadership skills

Excellent knowledge of the IT environment and its future trends

Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply

Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness

Exposure to Customers Globally

Strong knowledge on ITIL Processes.

Certifications in relevant technologies

Skills mandatory:
1. 4 to 6 years of support experience

2. System administration skills on UNIX/Windows

3. Knowledge of tape drives and libraries

4. Good written and verbal communication skills

5. At least 4 years experience in Veritas Backup tool.

6. Experience in Veritas Appliance should be must.
