The Product Engineering Manager will own the product and will do all that is necessary to translate the vision into the product. The incumbent will be responsible for architecting, designing, delivering and maintaining the product.This venture is a start-up and we need a very hands-on person who can deliver superior results with a small, multi-talented team.Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall product development lifecycle.
• Create and own technical roadmap and architectural standards which optimally aligns with business objectives
• Justify engineering decisions to stakeholders backed by solid rationale and conviction
• Learn and adopt the best technology that is suitable for the product
• Frequently contribute to the low-level design and code review activities
• Roll up sleeves and contribute to code and design if required
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the team
• Management of the departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, enhancing and maintaining a best of class engineering team
• Work closely with the team to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
• Contribute substantially to innovation and overcome technology limitations to deliver on customer experience
• Ensure healthy delivery and development culture with agile mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on development experience with latest web technologies
• 5+ years of Engineering leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience of working in SaaS (software as a service) industry
• Well versed with data structures and algorithms
• Hands on experience in product development (full stack) with solid understanding of both server-side and front-end technologies
• Must have the ability to understand the technical and non-technical aspects of product development
• Experience developing technology solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
