Job Description:
Qualified candidates have exceptional communication experience directly with Managers, Program Managers, Program Directors, CTOs, and CIOs in the government space and knowing how to navigate the RFP/RFQ submission process.
This precise individual will be tasked with identifying, negotiating and winning business within the US Government.
Primary focus will remain on identifying and develop new business inside the Government arena and work with the Director of Business Development to get a better foothold on unsaturated areas of the past/current/future business.
Great candidates have:
DOD and Federal Government sales experience
Be an expert inside all accounts – who they are, what they do, what are their goals, what are their priorities, how do they buy from us, and most importantly how to extend our offering internally
Prospect new government customers, grow and maintain existing Government Accounts
Ability to develop, execute and coordinate a successful sales strategy to achieve expected business results
Managing the coordination, communication and implementation of strategic action to gain new business
Knowledge of national & regional Government contacts and related business issues and practices
An expert level of sales in facilitating C-Suite relationships within integrators, agencies, and contract partners. A history of influencing decision makers by articulating the value of service to client businesses
Ability to gain trust across internal and external functional leaders – extremely collaborative
Negotiate and manage bids, proposals and RFP’s
Qualifications:
Contacts & relationships already built with our target client demographic
At least 6 years of professional selling experience in Government sales
Experience working with Delivery Team & their Management team
Strong prospecting / closing skills
Strong relationship / people skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong negotiation skills
Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated Account Management / client services work experience with government clients
Working knowledge of how to read/build all types of RFP/RFQ’s and the submissions process
