Roles and Responsibility

SQL

Job description

Administration of Microsoft SQL Server instances.Responsible for SQL DB migrations from on premise to AWS cloudExperience in performing migrations using DMS service.Access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage managementExperience in Database Troubleshooting, Monitoring, MaintenanceExperience in performance tuning and query optimizationDatabase management for export, import and mass data loads.Analysis and generation of all tables and index statistics.Monitoring and resolving data lock issuesOn-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) to capture, validate and store large amounts of transactions.Install SQL Server service packs and updates (standalone as well as cluster)Configure and manage SQL Security settings.Make system design recommendations according to Microsoft SQL Server best practices.Manage database backup & recovery & DR planning in collaboration with stakeholders.Perform SQL Server integration with enterprise applications.
Key Skills/ Knowledge: (Required)

5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required (2012, 2016 & 2019)Exposure on AWS cloud services like EC2, RDS, Aurora, VPC, Route 53, S3 etc.Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerExperience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
