Data Engineer II: We love building intelligent, scalable systems using diverse set of state-of-the-art technologies!! Our focus is Data Intelligence that learns and provides information for operational management and surfaces strategic insights. In partnership with multiple teams, we have automated setup and management of Contact Centre & Agents on a per partner basis which reflects the partner’s unique business model. We deliver integrated software and hardware solutions allowing all of Expedia’s customers and partners to contact us for assistance as travellers travel around the world. We build systems that help Contact Centre partners run their business well and improve customers experience of interacting with us. What you’ll do:

• Participate, own and deliver Sprint tasks
• Collaborate with teams and individuals to complete your team’s work on time, with quality
• Design, develop and test your work you’re leading
• Thorough unit testing implementation of sprint tasks using Javascript frameworks
• Switch between technology stack and pickup new technical skills for completing business requirements
• Prototype ideas, execute & learn from them and enrich the overall team experience
• Efficiently articulate your ideas to wider audience
• Most importantly have fun while learning

Who you are:

• 2+ years of experience working as Software developer in data processing & reporting and troubleshooting
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferably from premiere institute
• Programming experience in languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Scala or Python
• Experience building on one or more of the following technologies: Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, AWS, MongoDB, Docker, Jenkins, Microservices architecture, AngularJS, ReactJS, Spring MVC, CSS, Data Warehouse (Teradata, Snowflake, etc.), Reporting (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Experience in developing large software systems. Proficient with version control system (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines
• You are highly motivated, quick learner and high-growth potential individual who aspires to be part of a growing team of technologists
• You are an independent thinker, who works around problems and who isn’t shy of trying new technologies
• You have proven experience of working in parallel technologies apart from your core technology area
• This team values “fail-fast” learners and technology enthusiasts who view learning new technology as an enjoyable experience
• You have good working understanding of commonly used data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• A great teammate, willing to both learn, teach and share
