About the team

This role is a part of our OPF Project– IT Architect Team

What you bring:

• 10+ years of experience IT including few years in doing performance engineering and tuning of Java/JEE applications.

• Sound knowledge of HA/DR.

• Experience on Websphere/Weblogic, Oracle/DB2 and MQ/SIBUS.

• Experience in Performance Testing and Application Performance Management.

• Experience in Capacity Planning & Management.

• Experience in troubleshooting and root causing Performance bottlenecks using tools like VisualVM , VisualGC , Perfstat, Oracle Enterprise Manager, JProfiler and debugger

• Experience in Native monitoring tools like nmon, sar, vmstat, iostat, top etc.

• Experience with load test tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter and designing Load test scenario’s and analyzing Load test results.

• Experience in Oracle database tuning and able to analyze ADDM, AWR reports.

• Provide oversight, coordination, and business domain expertise in all business areas (process, technology, quality, and interfaces)

• Determine & monitor critical path, anticipate risks and deviations from plan, analyze them, come up with corrective actions.

• Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, ANSI SQL, XML, Struts, Hibernate, EJB

• Exposure to data modelling/UML & Design Patterns

• Core Java Language (Collections, Concurrency/Multi-Threading, Socket Programming, RMI, Localization, JDBC)

• Web Technologies (Struts/Struts 2, Hibernate, JSP, Restful Services, Web Services , HTML/DHTML, JavaScript)

• Working Knowledge of JIRA.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with teams and other architects to develop end to end performance engineering strategies and approaches.

• Provide technical recommendations for system performance measurement and analysis, scalable architecture, and profiling/troubleshooting techniques.

• Influence and apply the latest APM/tracing tools and work collaboratively with development teams to enable quicker resolution of performance issues.

• Actively evaluate tools, frameworks and technologies geared towards performance engineering.

• Lead the change to support continuous integration with automation solutions for performance in the cloud.

• Analyze performance results and troubleshoot to identify bottlenecks and potential optimizations.

• Experience on working across multiple, globally distributed teams in achieving performance goals.

• Demonstrate outstanding communication, flexibility, teamwork, and leadership.
