Ford Motor Company Hiring for Integration Engineer at Chennai, India Full Time

  • Delivery of Ford program gateways to J1 on time and on target

  • Application of global development processes to all program workstreams

  • Close liaison with the global teams including Engineering teams in the US and launch teams in Thailand, South Africa and South America

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position

  • Responsible for Body Exterior Integration Management supporting the upcoming T6 Ranger/Everest programs.

  • Interfacing with cross functional teams in various countries, including the Functions, Program, Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Attributes, Design & Quality.

  • Detailed knowledge of Ford GPDS and program gateway deliverables.

  • Lead, coordinate and facilitate successful delivery of program gateways on time and on target, managing business related deliverables ie; sourcing, material cost, engineering budget, timing as well as technical milestones facilitating successful delivery of the design, build and testing across the global team.

Preferred Previous experiences/ competencies to prepare for the role

Qualifications: Degree in Engineering

Leadership Functional / Technical

  • Able to coordinate highly technical, diverse engineering groups

  • Ford OS leadership behaviors

  • Firm focus on driving for results

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills

  • 2-5 years automotive experience

  • Prior delivery to GPDS or equivalent Product Development process.

  • Proven experience in a program coordinating role

  • Good understanding of the Ford products

  • D&R experience preferred

Experiences/ competencies expected to be developed while in position.

Leadership Functional / Technical

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Communication and presentation skills with exposure to senior leadership teams.

  • Working within a diverse multi-national team

  • Development of relationships and coaching techniques.

  • Broader understanding of all workstreams related to T6 program delivery from pre PS planning to launch delivery including all gateways in between

  • Improved knowledge of GPDS

  • Development of business acumen and understanding of interrelationships between various functions
