Ford Motor Company Hiring for Sr. Full Stack Developer at Chennai, India Full Time

The Public Cloud Services Team, ITO of Ford Business Solutions, India is looking for a passionate, creative full-stack Engineer who is excited to foray into any technology and create innovative products & services for end users. The interested candidate should have experience in designing and implementing frontend technologies, constructing backend APIs, Integration, database, and setting up server infrastructure. Also, the engineer should be able to lead the team of developers from conception to the final product stage.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY HERE WOULD BE:

• Designing efficient digital solutions using fit-for-purpose technology architectures to deliver target business outcomes

• Analyzing and translating business requirements into technical requirements

• Technology pioneering and providing recommendations in costs and security

• Estimating solution delivery efforts and timescales

• Writing efficient and beautiful code using software development best practices

• Creating websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Developing backend code using server/serverless architecture

• Designing RESTful APIs using Python or NodeJS

• Leading other team members to implement components as per designs

• Delivering project/product milestones, without losing focus on quality (QoS)

• Writing and maintaining multiple layers of tests using the testing pyramid.

• Creating and updating documentation for the code

• Production support for the critical applications & services

WHAT YOUR SKILLSET LOOKS LIKE:

• A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering/computer applications

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development

• 3+ Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and their internal APIs

• 3+ Experience in developing RESTful endpoints which can handle concurrent requests efficiently (Python Flask or FastAPI or alike)

• Experience developing websites using Angular or ReactJS or similar frameworks

• Good knowledge of front-end state management libraries (xState/Redux/MobX)

• Hands-on experience creating components using CSS-in-JS libraries

• Experience working with the Auomated testing framework and configuring it to improve test performance and run time

• Experience in creating frontend components that support accessibility

• Experience working/setting up clean architecture and adhering to its principles

• Experience setting up servers using ExpressJS or KoaJS and using middleware to enable logging, analytics, etc

• Experience setting up serverless functions using GCP Cloud Run or Cloud functions, and configuring the respective cloud provider for scaling

• Knowledge of AWS or GCP and configuring infrastructure code using infrastructure-as-a-code libraries like Terraform

• Experience creating/configuring/using and hosting Docker containers remotely

• Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines. OpenShift Tekton, or GitHub Actions, or alike

• Hands-on experience in debugging code in browser and server environments to identify memory leaks, performance issues and fix it

• Experience setting up logging and monitoring services (Dynatrace, GCP Ops Suites)

• Experience working with SQL/No-SQL databases like BigQuery, Spanner, or MongoDB

• Strong communication skills
