Garrett Advancing Motion Hiring for VE/Resourcing Project Manager at Pune, Maharashtra Full Time

This position will be responsible for Global VE/RE Project Management activities & will be part of Global Pricing, VE/RE & Commercial Excellence team.

The ideal candidate will have Project Management experience in Automobile industry, Sourcing experience in commodities preferably in castings & machining, Electrification, Actuation, Precision & Hardware.
Other preferred criteria include Techno-commercial knowledge on Turbocharger components. Commercials knowledge including NPV, Payback & Matex calculations. Work experience with cross-functional teams à Customer Team/Program Management/Supply Base /Engineering/Finance/operations, a successful track record of managing Engineering & supplier change projects during production environment.

• This role owns the VE/RE Process from ideation creation to implementation of a change at Customers across Garrett. Leads all cross functional activities to achieve VE/RE savings as per AOP plan & responsible for future years VE/RE Project generation. (Pipeline creation).

• This role is accountable for coordinating the VE/RE project execution cross functionally, identifying barriers & risks and driving escalation for resolution, in liaison with Supply Base/Program Management/Customer team key contacts.

• Lead/drive a cross-functional teams during project execution, execute projects as per AOP commitment & achieve Annual target (AOP) saving targets.

• Drive weekly/bi-weekly VE/RE X-functional meetings along with Program Manager for current year project execution plan and future year pipeline build.

• Drive weekly/bi-weekly projects review with Operational buyers & VE/RE SB Procurement Leader.

• Position is responsible for building future year VE/RE Pipeline through workshops. Workshop management with Customer team, Supply Base, GBE’s, Suppliers & Engg team.

• Position is responsible to track timely Phase Exit (Ph0, 3.1, 3.2 ..), as well as for continuous improvement of Phase Exit criteria’s.

• Support preparation of weekly global performance scorecard on results & roadblocks by Region, Commodity, GBE, & Customer Team for all Project phases.

• Owns & applies the VE/RE process, as part of Program Management process (Change Management) & Supply Base processes, ensures cross functional adherence & discipline as well as propose & drives Cross Functional process/tool improvement with the functions listed above.

• Identifies, documents, and drives best practices in terms of idea generation, internal and supplier development execution and validation, and customer implementation.

• Engineering/Technology Bachelor’s degree required
• 8-10 years’ experience. Previous Program Management or Supply Base experience preferred.
• Has the technical knowledge & experience to work closely with Engineering & Sourcing Organization to validate VE/RE ideas before taking it to customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment & drive teams to strict objectives
• Strong presentation and communication skills with proven ability to influence.
• Data Analysis skill.

• Flexible to work in shift timing (1pm to 10 pm)
