Job Description Summary

The Services Specialist 2 – On Site Services position is a part of the GE Vernova Onshore Wind O&M team and closely work with Field services team, plays an essential role in the growth of field services to support

operation and maintenance services with our customers in the region.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and Perform Preventive Maintenance on Wind turbines, check bolt torques, lubricate rotating parts, replace air and oil filters, perform cleaning, check oil & coolant level as per manual, calibrate proxi-sensors and timely servicing of GE wind turbines as per updated version O&M manuals

• Attend unplanned maintenance with multiple climbing of wind turbines on daily basis, ability to troubleshoot PLC and electronic circuit boards, IGBTs, capacitors, DC voltage circuits, motors, and rotating mechanical parts of wind turbines.

• Work with cross-functional team through PAC cases to resolve critical technical issues, performance issues and customer concerns.

• Raise purchase requests for parts, consumables etc. as required to complete Preventive maintenance.

• Interpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans including all required resources.

• Guide and assist technicians in the proper maintenance and fault finding of assets.

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the GE’s EHS and associated policies/procedures.

• Timely Report errors, violations, incidents or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.

• Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.

• Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections.

• Report to Site Services manager / Site lead and work closely with team to prepare all the required reports and documentation

Required Qualifications

• BE/Diploma Engineering or Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics or Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.

• With 3-6 years of work experience in Wind field service experiences.

• Demonstrate consistently high levels of flexibility and performance in all areas of responsibility.

• Work efficiently without direct supervision, customer service mindset.

• Ability / Willingness to travel across India.

• Knowledge on ISO requirement and MS office proficiency.

• Ready to serve, as requested by Site Lead / Field Engineer

• Ability to multitask on consistent basis.

• Record keeping of day to day activities in digital forms.

Desired Characteristics

• Hands on experience to fulfill all assigned duties for operation and maintenance of wind turbine in customer owned wind farms in the region.

• Hands on experience on High/Medium/Low Voltage AC/DC system testing, Operation and Maintenance, troubleshooting & repair

• Frequent travel required on a frequent and many times extended basis.
