II. Purpose

About ME Virtual Engineering GA:
GM’s ME Virtual Engineering GA team is an emerging Center of Expertise that supports Global ME VehicleSystems General Assembly Center. We innovate and drive business value by studying the complex interfacebetween product and manufacturing requirements on all our global product programs early in theirdevelopment cycle. GA simulation engineers perform these advanced studies and delivers the solution to thecompartment manufacturing engineers through various phase gates of the product development life cycle.

Job Summary

Engineer – Virtual Engineering GA will perform dynamic simulation loadcases and validate general assembly

process requirements for all global product programs across General Motors & will be part of TCI ME Virtual

Engineering GA simulation team. This is an important role facing off to both regional & global teams. The

individual in this role will execute, analyze & deliver GA simulations with the desired quality.

III. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute Static, Dynamic Simulation study and Virtual Build activity.
• Achieve process excellence metrics like 100% First Time Quality, 100% On time delivery, 95% Efficiency,85% Project Utilization by adhering to standardized work for all studies
• Provide and implement continuous process improvement ideas within the team
• Seek & evaluate customer feedback and drive changes as appropriate Represent GA simulation in theappropriate forums. Participate in global product development working calls & team meetings.
• Capture and share lessons learned within the team
• Enhance team’s capabilities by bringing in innovation

IV. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge

• Working knowledge in Technomatic Process Simulate, Teamcenter, MS Office applications
• Working knowledge of GA Shop processes, Equipment & material handling systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLM Structures, Methodology & interface with manufacturing.
• Good understanding of the GVDP, GLP, Quality Chain, DFMEA-PFMEA.
• Good knowledge on Project Management methodologies.
• Sound knowledge of OpEx tools, Six sigma and Red X methodologies.
• Sound knowledge on GM-GMS Principles and Workplace safety systems.

Skills

• Experienced in working with multiple interfaces to deliver the results.
• Basic Data analysis and research to implement process improvement opportunities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good Problem solving & analytical skills.
• Basic coding skills on process automation and business intelligence tools (C/C++, Java, VB script, Python,

Power BI etc.,)

Abilities

• Work with intercultural & multi-disciplinary teams to achieve enterprise goals.
• Handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Good work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end result.
• High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed.

V. Educational Qualifications& Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of GA process & simulation experience from Automotive OEMs / Engineering Organizations.
