General Motors Hiring for Sr. Engineer/Lead Engineer- Additive Manufacturing at Bangalore Urban, Karnataka Full Time

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:
Create 3D CAD models & detailing for manufacturing assembly tools and fixtures.

Establish design best practices for us in tooling design as they pertain to advanced manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing.

Implement innovative tooling designs for production assembly tools and fixtures in manufacturing environments, taking advantage of the capabilities of established design best practices.

Managing incoming workflow of tooling requests requiring design work for Global Manufacturing departments and ensure on time delivery of parts.

Create and deliver training to the organization on advanced tool design practices.

Lead activities to supporting design of tooling applications in additive manufacturing for global manufacturing departments Investigate automated and advanced design techniques such as generative design tools and topology optimization.

Checking of design and deliverables as per checklist.

Supplier coordination & issue resolution.

Root Cause Analysis for any issues received from customer .

3D Weld template/Sealer creation for new tools from MPM using DFAM.

Design Optimization using grab cad software for part orientation and reduction of support material Communicate with customer for reviews and Query resolution.

Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.
