Google Hiring for Network Engineer, Google Enterprise Network at   Bangalore Full Time

Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s degree n Computer Science, related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience executing and/or overseeing network QA testing or network regression testing.
• Experience writing network automation systems or network system tests in Python or Go.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting network topologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols and overlay networks such as VXLAN.
• Experience managing network security implementations, such as Access Control Lists (ACLs) and role-based access systems.
• Knowledge of the Linux system networking and virtualization (e.g. containers, puppet, namespaces, opensource networking systems and solutions such as OpenVSwitch, DPDK, etc).

GEN Advanced Technology is part of the broader Google Enterprise Networks engineering team. We develop innovative networking solutions for the Google Enterprise Network. We leverage a combination of internally-developed solutions, virtualized systems, cloud solutions, and vendor solutions to meet the diverse needs of Google. Our team consists of software-centric network engineers, and adopts an end-to-end DevOps mindset to ensure quality of our solutions and releases. We participate in use-case definition, design, and focus on testing, QA, and release engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate systems and infrastructure that is used for testing and quality assurance of networking products.
• Develop and contribute to testing plans that are developed based on knowledge of the specific solutions. This may include network solutions from third part vendors, internally developed linux-centric systems, and/or cloud network systems.
• Ensure testing environments are reliable and scalable for Google Enterprise network uses.
• Provide escalation support and oversite of local engineering vendors that execute repeatable QA tests.
• Contribute to automating QA infrastructure and specific test cases.
