Position Description:

A key part of Guidehouse’s work with clients involve leveraging Guidehouse’s proprietary analytic models, tools, and products to analyze data and generate insights for our clients. A Data Engineer key role in defining and development of reusable ETL processes in a product development setting.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a minimum of 3+ years hands on experience SQL Server and SSIS and should have good logical reasoning to write complex queries.

Responsibilities

• Design database tables for new development.

• Develop SQL Stored procedures and views based on business requirement.

• Handle large volume of data and create SSIS packages for loading the different files to database.

• Automate the existing/new data refresh process using latest technologies available.

• Engages team members, business analysts, client service teams and data scientists to understand data needs for the project, come up with data model, produce technical design to develop ETL solutions

• Design and develop scalable production grade data validation and automation scripts.

• Implement best practices on data management and product development including data integrity and quality standards, reusable frameworks and templates, naming conventions and coding standards

• Should have good experience in different SQL commands and advanced SQL features.

• Must have experience in SSIS package development and deployment process.

• Qualifications

• • Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Math, Engineering, or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 + years of solid hands-on experience in SQL Server with data modeling, database design, data management tools.

• Good Experience in SSIS.

• Experience in Azure Tools will be added advantage.

• Ability to work as an independent contributor to support T-SQL and SSIS tasks.

• Experience handling large volumes (multiple terabytes) of incoming data from clients and 3rd party sources in various formats such as text, csv, EDI X12 files and access database.

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, .Net in an application development environment is highly preferred.

• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and version control tools

• Highly motivated, strong problem solver, self-starter, and fast learner with demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills.

• Good communication skill.
