About Role
Guidewire is looking for a Benefits Administrator to join our Global Talent Rewards Team, starting on a 6-month contract. (Possibility to become a permanent employee)
The US Benefits Administrator will support the Benefits team and will be responsible for administering US benefits programs, including health and welfare, wellness, leave programs and retirement. This position will also be interacting and addressing any employee questions or concerns to promote a positive employee experience.
Role
Function as a liaison with vendors and support benefit team members.
Administer corporate benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, voluntary benefits, and corporate 401(k).
Be familiar with WorkDay to approve benefit qualifying events and assist with evidence of insurability (EOI).
Answer questions and resolve benefit, leave of absence, and retirement issues; address inquiries and manage reporting.
Prepare weekly benefit invoice reconciliation and billing. Reconcile all benefit-related invoices to ensure accuracy, following up with vendors on discrepancies.
Research and resolve escalated issues working with the benefits portal, payroll, insurance carriers, and HR.
Experience
Work experience in HR or benefits required.
Experience with HRIS or benefits administration software required.
Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities
Must be self-motivated and reliable.
Knowledge of basic HR principals, policies & procedures.
Exceptional communication skills and active listening skills.
Ability to provide friendly customer service in difficult situations.
Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative.
Ability to demonstrate skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and Sheets at the advanced level.
Comfortable with navigating WorkDay
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize effectively, complete a multitude of tasks and assignments quickly and efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
