Under direct supervision, assists in delivery of analytical results and reports. Trains directly under a Principal or Senior Technical Professional to gain knowledge of data processing and geomechanical/geophysical principles required for providing deliverables as per customer demands. Responsibilities will include working primarily in an office environment. Requires rapid familiarization with proprietary software and hardware. Skills acquired through completion of undergraduate degree in Geology, Geophysics or Petro-physics. Completion of a graduate degree in Geology, Geophysics or Petro-physics preferred. Other technical, scientific, engineering, or mathematical background would be considered. Strong background in geophysics, technical/engineering, or scientific background is desired by not essential in lieu of other candidate qualities and/or background. Entry level position for the Geoscience Technical Professional.

Job Title: Tech Prof-Pinn Geo, Assoc 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Under direct supervision, assists in delivery of analytical results and reports for Downhole Microseismic, DAS Microseismic and other fiber optic technology based projects. 
• Will be trained directly under a Principal or Senior Technical Professionals to gain relevant knowledge and expertise of data processing and geomechanical/geophysical principles required for providing deliverables as per customer requirements.  
• Responsibilities will include working primarily in an office environment with periodical remote shift work including day and night assignments 
• Requires rapid familiarization with proprietary software and hardware.  

Basic Qualifications: Completion of a Master’s degree (MSc, MTech or MSc-Tech) in Geology or Geophysics required, a degree in Geophysics will be preferred.  

Total Years of Experience: 0-1

Desired/Preferred Expertise:  

• Strong background in Geology and Geophysics required. 
• Prior coding experience (Python, Matlab) will be valued.
