Job Description
Issuance and Acceptance of Cash Issue and accept cash to/from Retail branches, sorting teams, RBI, others.
Maintenance and operation of Currency Chest Vault strictly as per RBI guidelines.
RBI Reporting Reporting of summary of business transacted (deposits and withdrawals) and the balances accurately to RBI, as the same is reflected in our current account maintained with RBI.
Cash Holding in branches Maintain accuracy in the cash holding.
Check every bundle coming into the vault.
Predict future requirement of cash accurately vis-vis existing stock.
Get the cash sorted on First in-First out basis.
Keep checks on unsorted cash position.
Send soiled notes to RBI frequently and check accumulation.
Check security aspects of the vault and raise the concerns to seniors.
Maintain TE-2 register for business transacted, DN-2 register for adjudicated notes scrupulously.
Observe discipline in operations of vault.

Vault Management Vault being a store-house of cash, the custodians should have a neat inventory of the cash available with them.
Clear understanding of RBI regulation in respect of vault operations and stick-to-it attitude.
Ensure joint operations of vault at any point of time.
Conduct withdrawal of cash for remitting to Retail branches and vaulting of received cash.
Withdrawal of cash for sorting/depositing of cash received from sorting team as per TAT.
Packing, unpacking of soiled, issuable cash remittance boxes.
Maintain vault as per laid down procedures of the bank as well as RBI guidelines.
House keeping Ensure accurate entries on Bin cards/Bin registers within the vault.
To maintain adjudication register/coin book.
Upkeep of vault in respect to soiled, sorted, unsorted currency.
To maintain the TAT for sorting of cash as well as issuance of cash to branches on first in first out basis.
Design the sorting schedule as per value and unsorted position.
Predict requirements (amount wise and denomination wise) and raise the concern, if any, to seniors.
Should possess knowledge of currency management thoroughly.
Should be vigilant at all times and keen on security aspects.
Participate in various Corporate Social Responsibility activities of the bank.
Security Vigilance, security measures in the currency chest.
