Job Title : Manager – Human Resources

Location: Lafarge Umiam Mining Private Limited, Quarry (Shella), Meghalaya, India

Department: Human Resources Department

Reporting to: Direct Report to Query Operations Head and Functional Reporting to HR Head

Local/Expatriate: Local

Compensation & Benefits: As per company norms

Required Qualifications:

• Post Graduate Diploma/MBA in HR & IR or any other equivalent qualification.
• Minimum ten years’ experience in handling HR, IR & Admin activities at any manufacturing/ mining unit

Key Role:

Responsible to manage overall site HR & Admin function of the Quarry.

Main Responsibilities:

HR Planning & Policy:

• Overall yearly HR Plan relation to Manpower, Compensation & benefit, Learning & development, Employee engagement, Admin initiatives.
• Overall HR Budget
• Manage overall performance appraisal of the Quarry people.

Employees Relations:

• Work closely with all LUMPL employees in relation to HR, ensuring compliance with LUMP’S HR policy and law of Land.
• Monitor and advice on disciplinary and grievances matter in accordance with LUMP’s HR policy and law of the land.
• To build and maintain a harmonious relation with all employees.

HR Operations:

• Preparation of Master Database of employees.
• Generate report regarding C&B and others
• Management of leave, Overtime and shifting
• Hiring and On-boarding of the technical people for Quarry
• Timely providing input data for the processing of payroll.
• Management of IDP of quarry employees

Statutory compliance

• Maintenance of records & registers with statutory norms.
• Filling of return as per the statutory norms.
• Monitoring of all the contractors that they are complying with the laws of land or not and take corrective action.
• Work with HR and legal team to resolve serious HR related issues.

Employees Development and Training:

• To conduct / Organise training as per required
• As part of organisation HR team ensure that cross organisation training and development program are put in place.
• Implement employee engagement programs and Employee survey

Contracts Management:

• Follow up with all contractors for renewal of licenses etc. related with HR
• Check and process of monthly bills of all local contractors.
• Monitor all the disbursement of wages for contractor employees and maintain minimum wage requirements.
• Check and monitor for the compliance level of contractors as per the laws of land.
• Monitor and update of WA standards maintained by contractors.

Administration:

• Manage all staffs in order to ensure a productive, positive and healthy work environment.
• Coordinate with community development and public relations activities for admin related works.
• Establish and maintain supplier accounts, financial files and records.
• Manage overall housing facilities and canteen facilities at Quarry.
• Kitchen administration in guest house.
• Office administration i.e. stationary, housekeeping, pantry, repair and maintenance of the office area, repair and maintenance of Xerox machine etc.

Technical / Functional skills:

• Expertise in Labour Laws
• Liaising with Local /Govt. Bodies
• Experienced in managing compensation & benefit and retiral benefits (PF, Gratuity)
• Experience on contract management and IR
• Performance management
