Hotel Receptionist Full Time
hotel receptionists job is to welcome guests manage reservations and provide information about the hotel and local area:
Greeting guests: Make a good first impression by welcoming guests and checking their details against their bookings
Managing reservations: Take bookings by phone email or in person and record them in the hotels system
Assigning rooms: Allocate rooms to guests and provide them with keys
Answering questions: Provide information about the hotel local attractions and transportation
Handling special requests: Deal with requests for room service wakeup calls or taxi bookings
Managing payments: Prepare bills take payments and process cash
Checking out guests: Take payments return deposits and check guests out
Maintaining the front desk: Keep the front desk area clean and organized
Using hotel software: Use hotel management software to check in and out guests and manage guest information
Coordinating with other departments: Work with other hotel departments to meet guest needs
Hotel receptionists should be polite calm wellorganized and have good writing and IT skills. They should also be adaptable and able to solve problems.
Some hotels may prefer applicants with a diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field and prior experience in customer service or hospitality.
