Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Buyer (Home category) who has a deep understanding of Indian artisanal crafts and a strong background in home product development and production. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen eye for curating cohesive and culturally rich product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deeply understand customer preferences and forecast emerging trends in the home category; stay abreast of market trends through industry events, fairs, and exhibitions.
• Work closely with the Creative Head and the Design team to translate ideas into Product.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and ethical sourcing practices and skilfully negotiate favourable terms and build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
• Manage inventory levels, budgets, and delivery timelines to ensure smooth operations.
• Champion ethical sourcing and ensure fair and sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
• Prepare reports on sales, budgets, and customer satisfaction to refine buying strategies.
• Assist in seasonal planning and contribute to merchandising and pricing decisions
• Travel to artisan hubs as needed for sourcing and quality checks.

Qualifications:

• Highly evolved and strong aesthetic eye that matches the brand aesthetic eye. .
• Strong understanding of Indian crafts, materials, and production techniques.
• Proven Experience of minimum 3 years of retail buying experience, preferably with soft goods.
• Skill Set on Point: Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Market Knowledge: A keen eye for trends and experience with market research and data analysis.
• Passionate about sustainable and ethical design.
