IBM Hiring for Database Administrator at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Junior Db Administrator you will be in charge of monitoring and maintaining HR databases

Communicating with Business analysts, Senior Administrators, Product company and Client on daily basis

Building and documenting test procedures and do testing as needed during upgrades, patching etc

Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases.

Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process under the supervision of senior administrators

Successfully manage issues that arise in every single day and do ticket / query resolution

Discuss issues and challenges with client counter parts on pro-active basis

You’ll be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Must have 3 Years of overall experience.

Must have working experience in monitoring and administration of databases (preference data bases in Human Resource process areas)

Should be proficient in programming (including scripting or coding), SQL and relational databases

Should be proficient in all MS Office tools including advance XL including Macros (using SQL) – not mandatory but desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – proficiency in English (Speak/Write/Read)

Proven ability to prioritise tasks and Good organisational skills

Problem Solving Mentality

Candidates having experience of interaction with global end user will be preferred

Candidates having experience in Global Support will be preferred

Flexibility to work in shifts
