Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Front-End Software Developer on the Cloud Pak team, you will be working as part of a full-stack team in fast-paced environment with remote office locations developing the next generation of AI-infused infrastructure management features used in our premier hybrid cloud management product. Working in an agile environment, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary squad working on the user interface within the large global development product group. Your work will involve close collaboration with Architects, DevOps Engineers and Offering Managers across our global organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 to 8 years of front-end software development experience in React or similar UI frameworks, including:
• Experience with Node.js or similar server-side JS.
• REST APIs, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, as well as CSS per-processors like LESS and SASS.
• Implementing responsive designs (including grids), Component design, Redux, protoypes (Invision or similar), and developing high performing, accessible, responsive sites.
• Cross-browser development, Building a11y and i18n ready user interfaces.
• Working knowledge of Carbon framwork, React Testing Library (RTL) and unit, behavioral, and end-to-end testing (i.e., Jest, Mocha)
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or related container and cloud-native technologies
• Unix shell and command line tools
• Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies and tools such as git, Jenkins, Travis.
• Scrum/agile software development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with remote office locations
• Growth-mindset: Willingness to learn new technologies and processes

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud)
• Openshift experience a plus
• Mobile- content driven responsive design and development (i.e., FlexBox, CSS Grid)
• Experience working with any observability technologies like: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, fluentd, or Sysdig, Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace
