Procurement Associate Role supporting Global Business Services & IT & Telecoms categories
Procurement Support:
Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage 3rd party spend for assigned categories/vendors across the enterprise.
Create strategic relationships with assigned vendors to meet/exceed requirements for cost reduction & service improvement.
Responsible for creating, amending, tracking Purchase Orders in P2P systems
Assist in timely completion of New Supplier Onboarding Requests, including following up with internal stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate data in all Procurement databases and systems.
Assisting with general queries from stakeholders relating to onboarding status/process queries/P2P queries.
Assisting with procurement data reviews and data tracking/reporting.
Issuing e-Signature packs/arranging signature of Vendor Agreements
Vendor Management:
Category Management of the day-to-day relationship with assigned vendors and assigned categories to meet our customer needs including performance management.
Development of longer-term vendor relationships and contracts.
Quality/Process improvement efforts / Continuous Improvement.
Plan and execute cost-reduction initiatives that produce tangible results in line with department goals.
Working with Procurement Management to act as key internal lead in any issue escalation / issue resolution discussions/solutions.
Developing strong relationships with key ICON & Vendor stakeholders and act as the focal point for all issues relating to assigned vendors to contain any risk regarding potential situations affecting operations or contractual issues.
Principle point of contact with assigned vendors.
Procurement
Meet individual performance goals/objectives as agreed with Procurement Management.
Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON’s values which centre on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
Ensure adherence to PRO001-SOP & PRO001-POL (ICON Global Supplier Management and Procurement policy) and contribute to ICONs culture of continuous improvement.
Drive projects relating to continuous improvement with active involvement and positive contribution to the success of the Global Procurement department and ICON.
Assist other Global Procurement team members by providing relief & back-up, when required in the day to day running of the department and contributing to the achievement of its Goals/Objectives & KPI’s.
Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.
Requirements/Experience
3-5 years in similar procurement or other business support function
Strong communication skills
Experience of P2P systems and processes
Experience working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
Strong organisational and administration skills and experience
