Job Purpose:
‘The Engineering lead at IDFC FIRST Bank will handle the digital experience from inception to go-live model. This role acts as a thought leader and internal subject matter expert for the Technology Org.

The role holder is expected to create a vision and roadmap for the digital experience to provide best in class customer experience for each of the product solution handled. The role holder will play a critical role in leading the innovation and growth of our front end web and mobile platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The role will be involved in support of highly critical production environment and will be engaged in architecture, design and deployment of systems along with a team of technically competent professionals.

Understanding and Performing tasks related to Implementation, Design installation and configuration of all Database products.

Coordinate and manage multiple incidents, problems and projects with different teams at the same time and conclude it with CAPA.

Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability, scalability and observability.

Work with Application and other peers to proactively identify and address potential system bottleneck and issues.

Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.

Demonstrate ownership and responsibility in all assignments.

Proficient to identify and recommend changes/improvements to the process and infrastructure design.

Provide L4 level support.

Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.

Ability to participate and contribute during crisis times, assist team members /leads/customer/Senior management, as needed.

Show adaptability and flexibility in work to suit business requirements.

Stream/ Specialisation :

• 7+ years of hands-on development & operational specialization with Aerospike, couchbase, cassandra, Postgres, Mysql, Mongo, Redis technologies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate and other replication technologies
• Extensive experience in setting up and managing cloud databases
• Extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting & tuning experience
• Experience with data modeling for OLTP and/or data warehousing
• Experience with AWS RDS and hands-on knowledge of hosting on cloud
• Experience with scripting languages for DevOps automation

Review and Assess Database performance holistically.

Define/Recommend/Maintain/Develop/Implement and Administer database Standards, security policies, Hardening Guidelines and Architecture.

Manage and enhance Database Activity Monitoring.

Future Release management for database/ instance/ cluster and Impact Analysis.

Research/Recommend Migration/Upgradation.

Installation & Configuration of all database tools and associated products and features.

Advance Database Performance Tuning – Instance, Database, cluster, OS Parameters, SQL Code, Procedure, Queries, caching, application flow.

Skills to read and understand performance reports and identify issues / bottleneck.

Recommend and Review Backup, Recovery, DR, RPO, RTO, HA and failover Strategies.

Manage strategy towards Capacity Management (Growth) for DB tracks.

Knowledge in Cloud Integration, migration and cloud native technologies / tools.

Proficient in basic and advance monitoring and should possess acumen to improve DB observability.

Extensive hands-on technical skills to cover installation, configuration, administration and advanced troubleshooting and service improvement.

Experience of working within a Service environment and technical teams of IT experts.

Experience of working on ITIL ticketing systems (SNOW, Remedy), understand ITIL framework and enrich CMDB.

Experience of being able to highlight issues and implement solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Should be team player with customer First attitude.
