The WSO Quality Assurance team comprises 40+ highly skilled and experienced quality engineers in the US and India. The team supports the high quality of software by independently verifying that software functionality conforms to business requirements using a highly robust and modern technical testing solution.

Position summary

IHS Markit is seeking experienced QA automation testing professionals to join its IHS Markit Compliance, Gurgaon team. This position will involve a hands-on automation test build/execution role in the financial domain. It is a technical position and will require a strong knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript/ TypeScript (desirable)/CSS, and test framework technologies. This is a greenfield initiative where we are developing a new standalone Compliance product covering multi-asset classes in both a pre/post-trade capacity with real-time reporting functionality. Duties and Accountabilities

• A self-managed individual who can build and scale the QA automation frameworks

• Takes ownership of source control, sprint tasks, CI/CD pipeline, and automation framework improvements

• Work closely with Quality Engineers, Automation Engineers, Developers & Product Owner to make sure that all features and bug fixes come with automated test coverage

• Automate and execute test scenarios/ run regression suits for existing and new solutions

• Analyse, troubleshoot & fix automation framework issues and breaks; exhibits excellent technical troubleshooting ability; continuous improvement of test pipelines/suits

• Remove roadblocks, escalate risks and work in a fast-paced and highly interactive environment

• Focuses on process improvement and finds efficiency or suggests new ways of operating

• Provides transparency through well-defined metrics, automation testing results, and reporting

• Ability to deliver on a personal, team, and strategic objectives

Education and Experience

• University graduate in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent

• Minimum of 4 years of Test Automation/ Quality Engineering experience in implementing object-oriented systems

• In-depth experience of at least 2 or more of leading automation testing tools/frameworks like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber /BDD, WebdriverIO, Cypress, SpecFlow, or Test NG

• Proficient with JavaScript framework such as NodeJS, Angular JS and Java/TypeScript

• Strong understanding of the HTML DOM, CSS selectors, and data manipulation techniques in JavaScript

• API testing – hands-on expertise on RESTful design / best practices. In-depth experience of testing APIs and test tools like Postman or Newman

• Advance programming/ scripting skills

• Well versed with AWS Cloud technologies

• Rich experience of working in an Agile software development organization

• Experience in testing container-based systems will be a plus

• Well versed with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (ADO/ Jenkins) and techniques

• Tools: Postman, Visual Studio, VSCode, Node & npm, SourceTree/ Git, Git Bash, PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server

• Demonstrated ability to work in a globally distributed software development team
