Role Description
Role Description: Tableau Administrator

We are looking for a highly capable Tableau Administrator to ensure that our corporation capitalizes on the benefits offered by the Tableau Data Visualization/BI Tool. To ensure success as a Tableau Administrator, you should possess extensive knowledge of Tableau system administration and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Tableau Administrators ensure that their Tableau expertise translates into optimized Business Analytics operations.

Role and responsibilities
Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration.Managing Tableau end to end administration and management of the tool.Experience as Tableau administrator, developing in, configuring, and administering Tableau Server.4-7 years of experience in BI role working specifically with Business Community producing analytical reports/dashboards, predictive analytics, ROI calculations demonstrating value of BIExpertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.Technical Skills:Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software LayerSystem Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patchesMonitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancementsPerformance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data Connections.Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments.Partner with business to design tableau KPI scorecards, write queries & build dashboards.Assist in the identification and migration of data sources to Tableau server.Assist in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform.Work closely with technical architects, data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.Should know Tableau Query Language and should bring actionable results to the table.
Nice-to-have skills
Must demonstrate ability to analyze medium to large, complex, or vague Business or Technical problem and translate analysis into viable solution recommendations.Experience in driving out requirements and building documentation process.Familiar with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum. Ability to work with both business and technology Customer.Knowledge of key functional areas such as sales and marketing reporting and financial reporting would be an added advantage.Strong development skills in Tableau and data analytics and visualizationsStrong Knowledge in BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, other BI tools.Experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TABADMIN).Ability to architect and support a stable Tableau solution guaranteed for high operationSkills: Tableau, Data Visualization, PowerBI, Troubleshooting, Performance tuning, Data warehousing, TABADMIN and Tableau Scripting
Qualifications
B.Tech., M.Tech. or Ph.D degree from a reputed university5+ years of experience in Big Data Development and Administration
