IQVIA Hiring for Senior ETL Developer at Bangalore, India Full Time

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SQL/ETL Developer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and ETL processes to support our data warehousing and business intelligence needs. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other IT professionals to ensure the efficient flow and transformation of data within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, Develop, and Maintain SQL Databases:

• Create, modify, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.

• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes to support data storage and retrieval.

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

2. ETL Development:

• Develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the ETL process.

• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

3. Data Integration:

• Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design data integration solutions that meet business requirements.

4. Documentation and Compliance:

• Document all ETL processes, database designs, and data flows.

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and industry regulations.

5. Collaboration:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.

• Collaborate with other IT team members to support data-related projects and initiatives.

6. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide support for data-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving ETL failures and database performance problems.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications:

– Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

– Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in SQL development and database management.

• 2+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration.

-Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SQL and experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other relational database management systems.

• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory or similar.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, OLAP cubes, and dimensional modeling.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting) is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
