Warehouse Supervisor

J.J. Trading Co. is a reputed dealer and distributor of building materials in Jamshedpur and has been in business for 35 years. We have dealerships/ distributorships of leading companies and products such as Prince PVC Pipes, Jindal Pipes,, Johnson Tiles, Roca and Parryware Sanitaryware, Sintex Water Storage Tanks, and many others.

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Warehouse supervisor who is equally comfortable working on computers (Tally) to manage the stock as well as physical warehouses to ensure highly efficient inventory and logistics management.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Managing inventory both in system (Tally) and physical warehouses and ensuring there is no mismatch between the two. Take appropriate corrective actions as needed.
• Warehouse Supervision: Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service. Implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage.
• Logistics Management: Managing incoming delivery of materials and proper accounting of the same. This includes overseeing & managing logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
• Process and System Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to constantly improve the way of working.
• Managing labour for unloading of incoming materials and supervising them to ensure proper management of warehouse.

Requirements to be Considered for the Position:

• At least 3 years of experience in stores management – well versed with best practices in managing stores/ warehouses
• Ability to work with both skilled and unskilled workers in a collaborative manner to manage the operations efficiently
• Proficiency with MS Office and Tally
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Very high integrity and sense of ownership
• Experience in the building materials industry is preferred but not required. Experience in industries that require efficient store management (such as automobiles) is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹10,000.00 – ₹25,000.00 per month
