Job Responsibilities
The SBL analyst’s primary objective is to prepare a deal for underwriting and to package all components in a manner to create efficiency and consistency for the Lender. Core responsibilities include:
Preparing the analysis of a client prior to underwriting, including but not limited to pulling client credit, generating a collateral analysis and overall preparation for grading and pricing the loan.
Reviewing lines of credit on an annual basis and building recommendations for renewal or modification as required.
Analyzing of client data across multiple systems and preliminary review for criteria for credit.
Reviewing and preparing loan documentation with high accuracy
Reviewing documentation for consistency with federal and local regulations.
Ideal candidate will over time strive to develop their understanding of the Underwriting process to grow into a Lender role with authority to review and approve lines of credit.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skill, especially with business partners. Excellent communication skills with various levels within the organization.
Ability to review processes and recommend process improvements. Strong understanding of controls and their importance to an error free environment.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; particularly Excel, Word and SharePoint. Adobe Acrobat / PDF editor skill set preferred.
Ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of the financial markets and their asset vehicles including but not limited to Mutual Funds, Equities, Fixed Income and Municipals.
Ideal candidate will have experience with Underwriting, Credit Risk and/or Collateral Valuation.
Bachelor degree required. Finance, Economics or a related field preferred.
