The opportunity is related to accounting advisory workstream at KGS. The profile requires a detailed knowledge of Insurance accounting and financial reporting per IFRS/US GAAP and an enthusiastic, hardworking individual willing to take on the challenge.

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling technical accounting issues related to IFRS 17/9 and US GAAP
• Ability to analyse financial statements and suggest treatment for assets/liabilities/incomes/expenses under IFRS 17/US GAAP
• Assist in financial reporting process for IFRS 17 and LDTI reporting companies
• Assist in development of chart of accounts mapping, ledger postings, drafting of disclosures and checklists under IFRS and US GAAP
• Assist in preparation of financial statements (FS) as per US GAAP/IFRS
• Assist in preparation of technical accounting memos
• Handling client queries in timely manner related to financial reporting issues
• Provide ad hoc support to onshore teams related to accounting matters
• Provide training to new joinees
• Drafting accounting policy changes, policy conclusion workbooks, policy implementation papers
• Liaise and assist with queries on annual financialaccounts.

Qualifications

CA/ACCA/CPA and 2+ years of experince in Insurance accounting and financial reporting.
