Your Role and Responsibilities
Unified System Operations is a single global System Operations Service for all client workloads from Traditional to Multi-Cloud pooled across our cloud and optimized services.
The Unified Systems Operator role is responsible for monitoring, controlling and operating complex computer systems, networks, applications and distributed systems in cloud, multi-cloud or traditional environments. Individuals in this role are also responsible for analyzing first level problems for all systems (according to service agreements), resolving and routing appropriately. This includes supporting Systems Management Processes specific to client requirements and supporting application management as required. People in this role have fundamental technical knowledge of the supported operating systems, applied monitoring, and an understanding of the clients’ cloud and traditional workloads.

Responsibilities:
- Alert Management via Netcool Omnibus Console
- Validating severity/priority classification of the problem
- Incident Ticket Management – routing tickets to appropriate support groups
- Escalation initiating and tracking
- Perform basic problem determination on system and components
- Restart failing components as part of 1st level administration (OS, hardware & applications)
- Perform batch monitoring and restart (i.e IWS, Control-M, etc)
- Perform system/application restart per predefined schedule
- Performing production checks as required
- Provide operational status as required
- Proactively analyze processes and workloads and propose/implement improvements
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Requirements:
- Ability to work in 3 shift model
- Advanced PC Skill with basic administration skills
- Proactive mindset
- Good Communication skills, flexibility
- Responsibility and teamwork
- Ability and willingness to learn
- English – Intermediate
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Preferred skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT field
- Basic of Windows, UNIX / Linux OS Administration including command line commands
- Basic programing skills (i.e. Python, shell scripting, powershell, etc)
- English – Fluent
