Your Role and Responsibilities

Minimum 8 years of experience in remote infrastructure management

. 6+ years working experience on Windows 2008 2012 and 2016

. 5+ years working experience in any of the virtualization platforms

. Troubleshooting issues related to ESXi and possess knowledge to configure HA/DRS/V-Motion and Affinity Rules

. Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team

. Analyze Change Request review change requests with the client & stake holders validate the information and execute – High complexity Critical & Emergency Changes

. Sound knowledge on SRM, Cluster, DataStore and Disaster Recovery

. Participate in Problem Management review meetings and provide root cause analysis

. Ability to handle and drive Incident Review bridges by identifying potential Problems recommend solutions to be implemented

. Responsible for SLA compliance

. Should possess work experience on migration/upgradation projects

. Basic knowledge on scripting and automation

. Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholders Good knowledge on ITIL process

. Technical Certification a must on any of the virtualization products

. Possess ITIL certification

. On call schedule and week end change schedule participation

. Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• The System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the IT WINTEL and virtual infrastructures. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Wintel server support and solution design capacity in complex Enterprise environments.. Minimum (5) years of experience with AD (Active Directory), including GPO (Group Policy). Enterprise class Windows Server operating systems 2003-2016 and supporting hardware (physical and virtual), software and tools. Install, configure and troubleshoot infrastructure, applications and software.. Network Time Protocol (NTP) time-sync services.. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP/FTPS) services.. Domain Name Services (DNS). Dynamic Configuration Host Protocol (DHCP). Out-of-band management (OOBM) access for Lights out Operation (LOM).. Storage devices and sub-systems.. Storage connectivity such as Power-path, Multi-Path IO (MPIO), Dynamic Multipath (DMP), FCIP, iSCSI.. File systems and protocols, including NAS systems and file shares.. Power shell or VB Shell programming scripts (highly desirable).. TCP/IP networking. General server security and hardening best practices.. Infrastructure systems integration with remote access and application delivery.. Physical Data Centre requirements related to Infrastructure equipment (i.e. physical space management, power, cooling and cabling requirements).. Experience with designing, building, and maintaining a high-available virtual environment. Experience with designing, building and maintaining MS Windows (Cluster) and Active Directroy environments. Strong understanding of vCenter, OVM, hyper-v and similar hypervisors. Strong understanding of shared storage technologies including SAN,NAS, fiber channel, iSCSI, and NFS as it relates to the hypervisor.. Strong understanding of network technologies as it relates to the hypervisor. Certification in virtual infrastructure technology an asset (vmware, OVM, Hyper-v) and/or WINTEL (Cluster). Strong understanding of x86 based hardware. Ability to perform root cause and performance analysis and act on results. Ability to automate day-to-day tasks/activities using scripting technologies (PowerCLI and Powershell). Knowledge in deploying and configuring Dell/Cisco UCS server hardware (rackmount and blade technologies). Experience installing, configuring and managing VMWare virtual server environments. Knowledgeable administering Enterprise backup solution management and recovery strategies.. Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate in a team environment. Effective planning and organizational skills ability to complete assignments and meet deadlines and work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Proficient in scripting and programming languages.(asset). Proficiency with MS-Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).Nice to have. Experience in LINUX Red Hat 5x, 6x and 7x Infrastructure. Experience in ESX/ESXi technologies. Understanding of ESXi host securityProfessional Attributes.
