Role- Database Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining organization’s databases, who work closely with the development team, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance and security of database systems.

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex databases and data structures
• Collaborate with development teams and data analysts to identify and implement database requirements and enhancements
• Develop and implement database policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility
• Create and maintain database backup and recovery processes
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including query and index optimization, and database tuning
• Participate in database architecture design and review, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other database developers and team members
• Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and trends, and implement best practices

Qualifications/Skills

• Experience:
• B. Tech / B.E in computer science or any other allied fields from premier institutions.
• 8-15 years of total experience as Data Warehouse / Data Lake SME high performing scalable environment.
• Preferable:
• Experience and understanding of government services, Safety & Mobility domains
• Person who implemented at-least 1-2 big data bases project in the past
• Must have skills:
• Experience in database development and administration, with expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL
• Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques
• Proficient in SQL programming and query optimization
• Experience in database administration, backup and recovery, and database security
• Understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
