Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Should Be Costing (SBC) of the part’s FTG including their Machining & Assembly lines/setup,

Good understanding of parts and process for Auto and tractor parts

Tool cost estimation for commodities like Trims, Sheet Metal , Casting patterns and PDC dies , Forging dies

Should be able to decide Tool steels in Mold making, Cycle times for all the parts in scope

Responsible for Machining and assembly setup planning and cost estimations at suppliers end

Budget Monitoring and control for specific Projects capex at AFS level

Responsible for material handeling trollies/ equipment estimation.

Responsible for cost estimation of vehicle/ engine propriatary parts tooling

To Work on Injection Molds should be costing to give target Prices to SSU/CDMM (most of them are trained here)

To Work on Jigs , Fixture and guages cost estimation

To Work on PDC Dies , Moulds , patterns on castings

Estimation for tool modifications & refurbishment

Support SSU to identify cost reduction opportunities in tooling

General Experience

20 + Years experience preferably in Tool Engineering

Critical Experience

Good understanding of Designing of new Fixtures, Tools, Holders, Gauges, Pallets, Sub Assemblies and Machines. .

To be competent to work with Design, Engineering, SSU, CDMM, Tier one and Toolmakers.

Self-driven and result oriented, Quick learner

Knowledge of Various tools design and manufacturing processes

Should be cost estimation for tools

Knowledge of tool standards, Raw material for tools, Heat Treatment processes

Good analytical skills

Budget control and monitoring

Knowledge on Commercials

Good manager

People management

Use basic 3 D softwares like 3 D tool
