Messe Muenchen India is seeking a strategic and growth-focused professional to join as Director – Strategy. This role works closely with the CEO as a strategic sparring partner to shape and execute business growth strategies across the IMEA region. The Director – Strategy will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, identify new growth opportunities, and drive cross-functional alignment to maximize market impact.

Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and positioning across IMEA
• Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and evaluate competitive threats
• Execute growth strategies through cross-functional collaboration and effective project management
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new market opportunities and potential risks
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, customers, and government agencies
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and financial indicators to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the trade fairs industry and incorporate them into the company’s strategy

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
• A minimum of 12 years’ experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in B2B industries
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience in trade fairs, events, publications, or allied industries is a plus
