Summary:

As part of WhatsApp”s policy team She/he will drive key regulatory and programatic engagements across the country. She/he will advocate for key values of WhatsApp such as end to end encryption and the rich business enabling features on WhatsApp. She/he will be a part of a high functioning team which leads, supports and contributes towards key advocacy goals for Meta. She/he will also represent the company in external speaking opportunities.

Required Skills:

Public Policy Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities:

1. Create & drive an engagement strategy with key regulators for WhatsApp

2. Advocate externally in support of key product features & regulations that will support adoption by industry

3. Support monetisation & overall product goals across internal stakeholders including business, product teams and policy

4. Oversee key programs for Whatsapp in support of advocacy goals such as financial inclusion and small businesses

5. Represent and be the voice on India specific regulatory issues and perspective to internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of experience in the field of public policy

2. Post Graduate degree in any public advocacy, economics or any other related subject

3. Experience of direct engagement with regulators and senior policy makers

4. Ability to speak in public forums and representing an organisation externally

5. Ability to work with cross functional teams and driving decision making in complex situations

1. Bachelors or/and Masters degree in Law or in the field of technology

2. Led a policy team of more than 3 members for a technology company
