Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Equity businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Background on the Team

The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the Transaction Management Group. TMG team is responsible for the Structured products issuance program creation & updates, documentation of new issuances, coordinating trade settlements, listing & clearing with external parties, Management information & metrics reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated person to assist the regional teams in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities for this role would involve:

• Managing & grooming of team working for global TMG Hub in Mumbai.
• Gather requirement from regional locations & driving strategic initiatives for streamlining workflow and automation of TMG processes across 3 regions.
• Dealing with trade approvals, especially through various systems;
• Closing and settling transactions – e.g. sending to various recipients, liaising with relevant stakeholders;
• Maintaining spreadsheets, various metrics and databases and ensuring automation to improve efficiency;
• Dealing with document requests and documentation reconciliation;
• Assisting with stats data and operations related matters and other requests, e.g. working with operations team to provide treasury function with quarterly stats.

Skills desired

• Engineering Graduate with 6 years of experience in Project Management role
• Atleast 3 years’ experience in managing team.
• Experience in Derivatives/ Structured Products and/or Exchange Traded Products (not ETF business though).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; able to decompose complex problems and projects into manageable pieces; comfortable suggesting and presenting solutions.
• Proficiency in English is a must.
• Good Excel knowledge with some exposure to python/ vba.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Organized, pro-active, ability to multi-task and work efficiently, detail-oriented and self-sufficient.
