Job Profile

The Governance Regulatory Client Engagement (GRCE) team within Cyber Data Risk & Resilience department in Morgan Stanley is seeking a Technology Risk professional to join a global team responsible for managing responses to regulatory requests and monitoring resolution of regulatory findings. This includes coordinating analysis of technology-related regulations, regulatory required audits and assessments, regulatory examinationsas well as ad-hoc requests for information and meetings.

The Governance Regulatory and Client Engagement (GRCE) Team fulfills the following responsibilities for the Technology organization: provides transparency to Technology Senior Management about the status of: fulfilling all technology-related requests received globally progress with remediating regulatory and audit findings. Ensure responses to technology-related requests are fulfilled efficiently, consistently, accurately, and timely, maintains an archive of responses to technology-related requests. Facilitates timely closure of technology-related regulatory and audit findings by advising on remediation plan development and execution. This position requires regular interaction with senior managers and organizational partners including Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit.

Responsibilities:

· Manage technology impacting regulatory activities in Asia with primary focus on India, including-

o Fulfill all Technology regulatory requests (including periodic audits and ad-hoc Request for Information) efficiently, consistently, accurately, and timely

o Analyze requests to define the response required, establish response deadlines, and identify impacted technology personnel that will supply and approve the response content

o Mobilize the response effort by notifying impacted personnel and scheduling response preparation meetings

o Collaborate with personnel tasked with preparing responses to technology-related requests to ensure the common goal of an accurate and timely response

o Collect responses and review them to ensure they are responsive to the request and appropriate for regulatory submission

o Maintains an archive of regulatory responses to technology related regulatory information requests

o Analyze technology impacting regulatory requirements, coordinate gap analysis to determine the firm’s compliance status and identify remediation actions working with the control owners, SMEs, Risk Officers and Legal and Compliance

o Serve as a subject matter expert on technology risk management processes and associated regulatory requirements.

o Liaise with Regulatory Relations, Legal and Compliance and other internal teams in coordinating Technology regulatory activities.

· Provide transparency to Technology Senior Management, India Firm Management, and other key stakeholders about the status of regulatory activities

Primary Skills
o 10-15 years of experience with sound understanding of:

§ Regulatory requirements and technology risk management processes including technology governance, cyber and information security, operational resilience, business continuity planning, systems development, project management, cloud security and governance, and supplier management

§ Risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, and industry technology risk management frameworks such as NIST, ITIL, CobiT, and ISO 27001

§ Regulatory supervisory processes

§ India Regulatory landscape and adept to working with India regulations

o Strong analytical skills to enable independent research and accurate assessments of adherence to regulatory requirements

o Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.

o Detail oriented.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

o Ability to draft high quality written products that are comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to the audience

Good To have Skills
· Successful track-record of regulatory response coordination

· Prior experience in a regulatory agency specializing in information technology

· Technology audit or risk management background in a highly complex financial institution

· Industry Certification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC

· Solid understanding of IT/Cybersecurity tools & practices

Qualifications

10 – 16 years of Experience.Bachelors Degree,Strong academic background preferably from top-tier institutes.
