ABOUT THIS JOB
At NielsenIQ, a Revenue associate administers, reviews and validates sales contracts to recognize revenue and establishes a billing plan in accordance with Global and Regional policies and procedures. Partners with relevant Client Service teams to drive USGAAP & statutory compliance. Supports all other revenue and billing processes including periodic book closing and reconciliations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer sales contract and order processing for the region in scope in coordination with Client Sales
Prepare billing runs and perform month-end activities related to revenue and receivables
Work with Global Controlling team to support their deliverables, including:
Customer invoicing, credit management, and customer credit verification
Accounts Receivable management including cash collection and allocation
Revenue recognition
Support revenue closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations, are appropriate and accurate and are performed in accordance with US-GAAP/Stat rules, Global COE processes, and in alignment with the Markets Controllers
Perform revenue recognition in accordance with US-GAAP criteria and maintain relevant documentation for auditing purposes
Ensure revenue accounting is appropriate and accurate and is performed in accordance with US-GAAP
Provide regional input on revenue reporting to the Global Controller
Perform the controls on revenue processes in scope and ensure adequate controllership is maintained at all times; flag to the Global Controller in exceptional cases
Ensure regional statutory compliance related to revenue accounting; monitor and provide guidance on related statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audit
Identify and recommend process improvements to evolve the revenue function
Work closely with peer group in the Revenue Controlling COE incl. the hub
Link in with FP&A and Consolidation teams on the closing schedule, accounting services, and consolidated accounts, with a specific focus for Revenue-related activities
Work with Group Controller on compliance and governance
Partner with Client Sales administration team
Partner with Market Controllers and team (closing cut-off dates, journals, supporting documentation, and local GAAP requirements)
Legal/Contracts Administration locally (if applicable)
Internal & External Audit
Develop and maintain comprehensive management information system (MIS) reports using advanced Excel functions and formulas.
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making.
Design and implement automated reporting processes to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their reporting needs and provide accurate and timely reports to support their business operations.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by performing regular data validation and reconciliation exercises.
Continuously identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness by leveraging advanced Excel techniques and tools.
Present findings and reports to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, highlighting relevant insights and recommendations.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to MIS reporting and advanced Excel techniques.
Data Analysis and Interpretation- Conduct a thorough analysis of complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and trends. Provide in-depth interpretations of data findings, offering actionable recommendations to enhance business decision-making.
Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools such as Lucidchart, Power BI, Power Automate, and Tableau.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data by performing rigorous quality checks and validations. Identify and rectify data inconsistencies or anomalies promptly.
Manage tight project timelines and adhere to strict deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of reports, analyses, and visualizations for OTI Regional calls.
Generate actionable insights from data analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
Identify opportunities for process optimization within data collection, analysis, and reporting workflows. Implement best practices to streamline OTI operations and enhance efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data analytics and reporting. Continuously expand technical skill set to enhance the team’s capabilities.
Adhere to data governance policies and maintain data security protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in data handling and reporting.
Analyze complex data-related challenges, propose innovative solutions, and implement improvements to optimize data processes and reporting efficiency.

Collaborate with various OTI regions to understand their reporting needs and provide accurate and timely reports to support their business operations.
Qualifications
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU
A successful Revenue Associate will ensure all basic key performance indicators pertaining to contract processing and revenue accounting are achieved for the respective region. S/he will have built a successful working relationship with the Client Sales Administration team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
6-10 yrs of experience in AR Billing
Fluency in English and local language mandatory; third regional language preferred
Experience working in multinational, multi-cultural environment
Experience working with remote counterparts
Experience working in Finance & some legal contract exposure preferred
