330902BR Job ID: 330902BR Job Description: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Leads the development of appropriate strategies that aim at increasing awareness, knowledge, and application of anticipative risk management methodologies for planning and execution of clinical trials in GDO across 3 pillars: Governance (incl oversight, processes, tools, metrics,….), Capabilities / Competencies (incl technical knowledge as well as competencies) and Mindset / Culture • Adapts and executes agreed strategies to the particular situation and needs of the assigned DUs. Independently identifies opportunities for further enhancing the knowledge and application of anticipative risk management methodologies and practices across all levels in the DU. • Provides appropriate risk management support to GDO associates on a DU, project or trial level to better enable them to identify and manage risks in their clinical trials (e.g. content facilitation of risk identification workshops for key trials). • Proactively seeks information about frequent risks and opportunities across the organization, facilitate lessons learned and their dissemination in the assigned DU to enable teams to consider these trends in their trials. • Supports and enhances the appropriate governance structures for management of critical risks and issues in clinical trials. This includes but is not limited to enabling a desired communication flow for critical risks and issues, and chairing & managing portfolio risk reviews for key trials, particular for trials included in the GDD annual portfolio targets, DLT objectives, HA commitment and other pivotal trials. • Ensures that GDD annual trial objectives in the assigned DU are solidly assessed, aligned and supported across GDO. Ensures stringent tracking and communication of trial status towards set objectives. • May lead the development of appropriate and effective trainings on risk management methodologies and processes to associates working on a clinical DU, project or trial. Delivers trainings across GDO and beyond (as per organizational need). • Establishes and promotes best use of systems and tools supporting the risk management lifecycle; may contribute to the continued development of such tools and support associated trainings. Contributes to the development of the vision and strategy of the GDO RMO. Promotes the continuous growth of an anticipative risk mindset across GDO functions. nnnn Position Title: Director, Portfolio Risk Management Minimum requirements: • 10+ years industry experience, 7+ years multi / cross functional international leadership experience (incl. matrix leadership) • Advanced understanding of the drug development pro-cess with experience in clinical development (preferably clinical operations) • Strong interpersonal savviness, empathy, strong organizational awareness. • Ability to engage cross-functional teams and ensure cohesion and collaboration • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
