Novartis Technical Operations (NTO) brings billions of units of medicine to countries around the world. The NTO Global Functions Team manages the cost centers, financial planning, analysis & reporting for the heads of functions in NTO. This is a critical team responsible for working with the highest levels of the NTO leadership including the CFO and Global Head BPA. Your responsibilities include but not limited to: • Ensure the operational conversion of the BPA strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business by providing management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests, ensure timely and accurate information gathering. • Perform analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; make recommendations to mitigate these risks. • Ensure ongoing business performance is appropriately monitored and measured and drive early warning for re-direction of resources with Business Partners. • Ensure integrity of data provided by commercial teams, and provides value added; provides recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement. Provide well managed and quality financial analysis in order to improve business case proposals and profitability tracking. • Continually improve and streamline existing management reporting processes and support the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands of the business. May supervise the performance and development of a small team of BPA specialists. • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt. Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable) • Management Reporting & Planning, Closing: Manage and coordinate closing activities including monthly reports to management. In addition, lead activities such as Spot Landing, Heads-up LO, lead reconciliations. LF / Budget: Responsible for all planning cycles related to NTO Procurement FTE-Personnel Costs and their accurate and timely submissions. Process Improvement: Drive streamlining, automation and productivity. • Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering. Responsible for engaging with and managing all stakeholders, Key business partnering role, projects & initiatives. Operations: Support ad-hoc analysis received from senior management on regular basis. Position Title: Manager – NTO Procurement Minimum requirements: What You’ll bring to the role: • Education (minimum/desirable): CA/ ICWA/ MBA (Finance) • Experience: At least 7-10 years of relevant experience • Experience in business planning & analytics and financial reporting • FP&A experience is must including head count, Personal Cost etc. Strong inclination for process improvement and automation • Working knowledge of systems such as SAP, IFP. Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills • Very strong analytics, detail orientation and ability to deep dive in topics with a solution-oriented approach • Strong communication skills, with an ability to present complex information to senior leaders. • Good command over numbers and analysis, simulation etc. Procurement experience would be an added advantage.
