Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

As a member of Oracle’s Financial Services Product Development organization, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver leading edge SaaS solutions for the global marketplace. You’ll be working on our next generation cloud-native platform currently under development.

Our Development approach is based on a DevOps-centric mindset, combining software development with operations expertise to shorten the development life cycle while delivering features, fixes, and updates frequently, in close alignment with business objectives.

As a Cloud UI Senior Software Developer, you will design, develop, deliver, operate and support one or more user interfaces comprising our next generation cloud native Financial Services solution. In this capacity you exhibit the following qualities:

YOU ARE SKILLED

To land this job you will demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Deep knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS (SASS a plus), DHTML, DOM, Ajax and OJET

• 2+ years developing user interfaces

• Expertise using Spring MVC and other frameworks

• Web Services and APIs using the latest technologies

• Understanding of design for Mobile Devices and Responsive Design Techniques

• Continuous integration for real-time testing and diagnostics

• Responding to reported incidents and anomalies

Qualifications

Primary Skills

• Extensive coding experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, jQuery, Node.js and Knockout

• Experience with REST

• Hands on experience with user interface development for mobile devices

• Exposure to Cloud concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) with Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure, any certification(s) a plus

• Problem solving skills

• Proven design skills and expertise

• Experience in the Financial Services Industry domain (Banking or Insurance)

• Excellent writing and oral communications skills (in English)

• Natural collaborator who enjoys working in cross organizational teams residing in multiple time zones.

Secondary Skills

• Practiced Agile Development and knowledge of Tools such as Confluence/JIRA

• Financial services messaging standards such as IFX etc

• Exposure to SonarQube, Fortify and WebInspect Tools

• Experience in consuming and working with web services
