Program Description
The NetSuite Business Development Representative (BDR) Program is a university recruitment program designed to prepare recent graduates for an exciting and rewarding sales career at Oracle NetSuite. The 12-15 month entry-level program gives BDRs hands-on experience sourcing and qualifying leads while building product knowledge and sales skills. Participants will be tasked with challenging assignments where they will acquire product and industry knowledge, develop sales and presentation skills, and gain technical and project management experience. BDRs will work closely with their team, direct manager, and sales leadership to learn the business strategy of a world-class software organization with the ultimate goal of placement into a full-time, quota-bearing position at NetSuite.
About the Opportunity:
You will recruit, onboard, manage, and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives with a focus on building key inside sales skills including strategic prospecting, advanced lead qualification, objection handling, and first call meeting scheduling. Your team serves as the initial sales engagement to our potential new customers.
Your mission is to nurture and develop NetSuite’s next generation of successful sales professionals coaching them on sales process, executive soft skills, and NetSuite product knowledge fundamentals in a collaborative environment.
This is an ideal role for a candidate looking to take their sales experience to the next level by making a critical impact in the professional development of new reps at the beginning of their sales careers.
In addition to driving an inside sales training program, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the team, holding weekly one-on-ones/team meetings with your direct reports, and developing creative incentive plans to keep the BDRs engaged/inspired throughout their tenure.
While tracking and monitoring individual and team metrics, you will drive the team towards collective lead generation quotas/goals- Achieve regional indirect revenue targets. Proactively manage sales or Oracle’s technology products through resellers. Develop and manage Partner coverage maps in each sales territory via the telephone.

About You:
Strong background in SaaS sales and/or people management
Intelligent, motivated, and competitive with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” and “get the job done” mindset
Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
A regular on your company’s top producer list and have the stats to back it up
Known for your tremendous work ethic, laser focus, and dedication
Passionate about mentoring emerging sales talent
Experience giving both positive and constructive feedback
Enjoy learning technology and can translate that into value for prospects + build repeatable sales frameworks for new rep success
Willingness to contribute to NetSuite’s thriving culture with a work-hard, play-hard attitude to keep results strong and morale high
Curious, insightful, and perceptive
Creative self-starter
BA or BS degree required

Increase indirect sales by identifying and integrating “product/solution” specific partners with regional sales teams to achieve sales targets per product category. Drive, convert and manage through close new partner-generated opportunities. Accurately forecast indirect incremental and non-incremental regional business. Implement channel strategy to ensure minimal transaction slippage at quarter close.
Job duties are varied and complex needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Five years experience in software industry sales. Channel development or management experience, along with strong networking and partnering skills preferred. B.S. in computer science, computer engineering, or similar background. Strong interpersonal skills and proficient writing skills.
