About the role

Reporting to the head of the DATE/IDE team (Patrick CRESPEL), the person will join a team of 10 people, whose main activities are as follows:

ÈExpertise, Audits and Infrastructure:
As part of the Go2Cloud project, be proactive, innovative by providing new solutions and improvements to the existing one.
Propose and develop tools facilitating the administration of databases on new Cloud infrastructures (Cloud Openstack, Kubernetes).
Contribute to the Opensource Databases project by helping projects move from Oracle to an Opensource DBMS
Contribute to the Database Security project aimed at improving database security.
Advise the functional teams in the context of IS developments.
Define and write procedures and standards and ensure their application.
Contribute to the definition and sizing of new infrastructures.

ÈRelease Management:
As part of the project, Go2Devops, contribute with the project teams to the automation of Release Management. Search for solutions to minimize the risks.
Execute the modifications requested by the project teams on the target databases: change of the physical data model, change of the database settings
Install and configure new databases in compliance with standards.
Prepare for production: deliver the scripts to the production dbas, define the backup strategy, communicate the specifics of each project.

ÈSupport activity:
Diagnose and correct errors related to databases. Ensure that the proposed solution is permanent and avoids the reappearance of errors.
Be an important contributor during incidents and problems managed by the Problem Management team. Analysis, search for causes and solutions.

DELIVERABLES:
Plan of the database facilities of the processed portfolio;
Regular report to the manager on the progress of the various actions in progress;
Monthly reporting sent to the manager.

Compliance with commitments made
Quality of deliverables

About you

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
The service is aimed at an engineer with 2 years’ experience in database administration.
A correct level of oral and written English is essential.
A good knowledge of at least 2 DBMSs among Oracle, Sqlserver, Mysql/MariaDB, PostgreSQL is required.
Knowledge of a NO SQL DBMS would also be interesting (MongoDB, ELK, …)
Knowledge of Linux is required.
A first experience in the use of databases in the Cloud (Database As A Service) would be a plus.
