Job Description

Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to help to make IT at Peak feel frictionless and seamless, providing great levels of service across all areas of the business. You will support the Peak team from an IT perspective, including hardware, software and security.

We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of helping to create a new function in support of this rapid growth. This presents a unique and exciting opportunity to really put your stamp on how internal IT works at Peak, and we’re looking for someone who is constantly looking to improve how things are done.
The Role
You will work closely with the CIO to shape the IT Support function at Peak, in order to support our rapid growth. We want to develop a high performance team that is seen as a true enabler for the business:

• Act as the first point of contact when there are IT support requirements across the business
• Engage with suppliers to fix / order / replace required equipment
• Manage the roll-out of Mobile Device Management and anti-virus solutions
• Maintain Peak’s IT Asset Register, keeping up to date with any changes
• Administer key applications for Peak, including management of access control
• Roll out applications to the required users within Peak, ensuring updates and patches are applied
• Manage OS updates across the Peak device estate
• Maintain permission groups for all users of key applications
• Complete internal audits on hardware & software licences in support of our ISO27001 certification
• Work with the CIO to complete assessments of new software from a security perspective
• Contribute to the development of application and hardware strategy as well as implementation

Skills & Experience
We’d love to see someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Good at handling multiple tasks and being able to prioritise effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills; able to think challenges through and act with limited supervision
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbally
• Experience of working with Device Management / Unified Endpoint Management systems, and Next Generation Anti-virus solutions (NGAV)
• Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Apps such as Docs and Slides)
• Experience of supporting MacOS
• The desire to grow and develop in the role; the ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to shape a new function and help develop the future roadmap
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of working with remote teams
• A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment

The Team
You’ll be involved in strategy as well as the tactical elements of keeping Peak’s IT in great shape. You’ll also get great exposure to other areas within the function such as compliance and Information Security, and as a natural part of the role you’ll be highly involved with all teams in the business. This role will also work closely with our Engineering team, and there will be opportunities to share knowledge and develop in more technical areas.
The Peak IT Landscape
The Peak business runs on a modern landscape of mostly Apple Mac laptops, a handful of Windows machines with a substantial use of Cloud based software. We have teams around the world, based in Manchester, Jaipur, Edinburgh, Brisbane, and more! Our offices do have a few printers and telephones but most of our communication happens over Slack and Video calls such as Zoom or Google Hangouts.
