Pega is changing the way the world builds software. In this role, the Technical Lead, Software Quality Assurance will be a member of the IT QA team providing testing services for a Center of Excellence SCRUM team. You will be responsible for creating test plans, test cases, regression test suites, driving test automation for the COE team and taking ownership of the overall quality of the products delivered. You will manage a team of QA Engineers and also work collaboratively with the technical leads, software engineers, product owners and business users to develop quality applications. You will have influence on the solutions being developed to bring value to the business by providing your thought leadership to the teams operations and influencing the product roadmaps.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

· Lead and manage a team of 2-4 QA Engineers

· Guide team members on test planning, test execution, and test automation technologies

· Ensure resources are actively engaged, contributing to the work deliverables and growing their professional skills

· Work collaboratively with team members to design, develop, test and document high quality test specifications

· Role model functional testing and automation best practices

· Train members of the immediate team on automation tools and processes

· Provide technical assistance to advance the capabilities of products and resolve issues

· Leverage your advanced Pega knowledge to identify, investigate and report product defects

· Manage meetings, triage issues and communicate project status clearly

· Collaborate with developers to ensure the product meets functional, quality, performance, scalability, privacy, and security standards through tools, automation and breakthrough test technologies

· Prioritize work and follow through with commitments. Ability to identify when expected timelines are not going to be met and communicate to the scrum master or manager

Who You Are:

· You are passionate about test automation and code quality and eager to develop your skills within an enterprise environment while working with an industry leading product. You have practical knowledge of software testing best practices, testing terminologies, and writing test automations with at least one technology. You think outside the box and use your experience for more effective collaboration.

· You are competent in test strategy, test planning along with identifying, documenting, and executing test cases. You are also competent with debugging the test failures. You have basic skills required to technically lead any project at a team level.

· You share your updates, ideas and plans competently through verbal and written communications. Attention to detail is your proficiency.

· You are an effective resource manager and are committed to leading and growing the skills of your team.

What You’ve Accomplished:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline / BE/B. Tech or Equivalent

· Experience leading a team of QA engineers

· 7-10 years of software testing experience

· Practical knowledge of software testing best practices

· Software test experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, or other technologies

· Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems

· Experience in testing mobile applications, web applications, UI, applets, client/server, portals or warehousing

· Experience testing RESTful/SOAP APIs

· Experience in development and implementation of comprehensive and integrated testing plans

· Exposure to performance testing

· Troubleshooting, debugging and reverse-engineering skills

· Experience with modern scripting languages (Shell, Python, Perl) will be an added advantage

· Agile/Scrum development methodology experience
