Job Title: Content and Social Media Manager

About the Project:  

Policies of Thought is a non-conventional think tank and advisory body which aims to bring about significant change through in-depth research and evidence-based analysis. At the core, we are a diverse team of policy specialists, legal scholars, data analysts and content creators, pooling our knowledge to delve beyond the surface of policies where we consider not only the immediate implications but also the broader societal and systemic effects of a policy. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Create informative and engaging content that provides value to our SM audience and establishes us as a thought Leader in the field.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify content opportunities, industry trends, and relevant topics that can be turned into impactful content.
3. Research on innovative approaches to engage the audience and come up with the ways to enhance the content experience.
4. Optimize all content for SEO/SMM, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and meta descriptions, to enhance visibility.
5. Monitor and analyze the trends and performance of the social media content using analytics tools.
6. Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other team members to create multimedia content.
7. Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content on a regular basis.
8. Oversee social media accounts’ design and aesthetics (e.g. Carousels, videos, memes)
9. Developing and implementing effective PR strategies to build a positive public image for the organization. This includes crisis management strategies.
10. Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders. Representing the organization at press conferences, interviews, and industry events.
11. Creating, managing, and distributing press releases, speeches, and other communication materials. Managing social media presence, overseeing content creation, and coordinating online advertising.
12. Organizing and coordinating public relations events, campaigns, promotional events, and conferences.
13. Developing and implementing publicity strategies for the company’s products, services, and events. Creating and managing a comprehensive PR plan, including budgets and timelines.
14. Building and maintaining a network of industry contacts, fostering positive relationships for the organization.

Key Qualifications:

1. The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field. 
2. He/She should have a proven work experience as a social media & digital manager and should be adapted with the current trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
3. Having any additional experience with social sciences-related fields is an added advantage.
4. Extensive experience in content marketing, focusing on content creation, optimization, and effective promotion is expected.
5. In addition to it, relevant knowledge of online marketing channels is required.
6. The candidate must have excellent communication and content delivery skills in order to engage more audience and gain traction on social media.
7. Candidate with analytical and multitasking abilities is an added advantage.
8. He/She must be proficient in SEO and SMM best practices and skilled in using keyword research tools to enhance content visibility and engagement.
9. The project demands a proactive self-starter who is capable of coming up with creative concepts under demanding deadlines.
10. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative PR strategies.
12. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
13. Knowledge of the technology or governance sector is a plus.
