Job Description:
Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production or Diploma in Tool & Die maker

Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience as a Tool Designer

Work location: Shirwal location in Pune (50km from Katraj on Pune-Satara road)

Job Responsibilities

• Design Punching tools / Piercing die for the tool room using our current SolidWorks / Catia / Inventor + AutoCAD
• Provide designs that are manufacturable, accurate, meet project scope, and will work with departments in the plant to ensure work conveys correct information and is error-free
• Good knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Select or recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings, or illustrations to amplify publication objectives
• Use our current 3D Cad software to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, images, and other forms of communication
• Must follow established design guidelines and standards
• Follow the direction of the lead designer in the area of tool design
• Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time
• Must be able to provide weekly updates and timelines with Gantt charts

Personal skills:

• Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks AutoCAD.
• Strong background in progressive die design, metal working materials, mechanics,
• Required experience in a metal stamping environment (i.e. knowledge of presses and different dies used in metal stamping such as progressive, draw, miscellaneous, etc.)
• Required experience and familiarity with CNC machine tools and parts making
• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting or related field
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to work as part of a team
• Understanding of different materials and production methods
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
