Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary As an Engineer in the WLAN FIRMWARE Group, you will be designing, developing, unit testing, bug fixing and maintaining WLAN firmware that implements functional aspects of WLAN features on low memory foot print processors that will work in tandem with device drivers running on the host processors. The host driver and the firmware implement the WLAN drivers on the Qualcomm’s WLAN SoC platforms. You will be working on cutting edge WiFi technologies (IEEE 802.11 ac/ax and the latest 11be), solving challenging WiFi design, system software problems, performance and power issues and working with some of the leading WiFi ODMs & OEMs across the globe on their sometimes high pressure & tough timelines. Your work will lead into ensuring that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform is the best in power and performance while delivering world class low latency experiences as seen in use-cases such as XR glasses and Cloud Gaming. At least 3-5 years of relevant hands-on technical experience in WLAN firmware and/or Linux driver development with a record of strong individual technical achievement

• Strong programming skills in C
• Must have hands on working experience working on real-time embedded systems
• Must have hands on experience in solving complex system issues with good problem solving skills
• Hands on knowledge and experience on IP Networking technologies is a plus
• Knowledge of Low power design and algorithms that optimize power around traffic models is a BIG plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work within a diverse team is a mandatory requirement (Work ethic and attitude are as important as technical skills!)
• Experience in Wireless LAN protocols is a BIG plus
• Experience in RTOS, multithreading in embedded environment is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems

Work Experiences: 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience

Work Experiences: 4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience. ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years experience with API. ,2+ years experience with Database Management Software.
